Playful Poppies Learning Co. was imagined as a way for children to get all the benefits of an early learning program while also strengthening their bond with the adults who love them. We don’t stop there though. We also give those adults the tools to be their children’s most valuable educational partners. While research does show the powerful effects of an early education program on a child’s academic and social growth, it’s only one piece of the puzzle. The most important influence on a child’s academic achievement is their family’s involvement in their education. In fact, family involvement in education is more powerful than literally any other factor, including children’s IQ, socio-economic status, racial background, and family education level.
Playful Poppies classes are for real kids (because they’ve been developed in close work with real, live kids). The shy kid. The can’t-sit-still kid. The late bloomer kid. The early bloomer kid. The easy kid. The challenging kid. Your kid.
Literacy and art classes help your kid get the head start they need. But it doesn’t stop there. At Playful Poppies, you also get the resources to partner with your kids in their education. You get to deepen your relationship with your kid. Our classes are made for families to experience together.
Classes have been developed over way too many cups of mint tea and hours of nerdy research. They’re tailored to meet relevant early learning standards and developmental goals, all while staying playful, child-led, and interactive.
