Q: Do you offer trial classes?
A: Yes! Trial classes happen every 6 weeks. Check out our live schedule to find out when the next free class will be hosted!
-
Q: Do you offer drop-in/pop-up classes?
A: Pop-up trial classes do happen every 6 weeks. However, all of our series classes are based on a flat registration rate for a six-week series. There are a few options to make a class work for your schedule, though:
1) We can always accommodate a pro-rated partial series registration for the remaining class sessions in a series! For example, if you know you’ll only be able to attend the last 3 weeks in a series, we can pro-rate the registration based on those 3 sessions remaining. (We do this to keep it fair for the families who have paid for a spot through the whole series, while still keeping it fair for those who have to join late.)
2) Even if you’re personally not able to attend every weekly session, you can still send your child to class with another caregiver in your place (your significant other, Grandma, uncle, a nanny, etc).

Q: What should I expect for class?
A: Glad you asked! The first 10-15 minutes of class are set aside for families to socialize while our kiddos enjoy some free play. Then, we transition to our class time and interactive activities. Each class wraps up with a special goodbye song until we meet again!
-
Q: What should I bring?
A: Please bring a blanket to sit on for class (one that you don’t mind getting a little dirty, since our activities can be joyfully messy!). We suggest bringing along a change of clothes too, just in case your child gets really carried away with the art supplies!

Q: What if we can't attend class? What if class is cancelled? Will I get a refund?
A:
Playful Poppies Learning Co. cancellation policy: In the event of class(es) cancellation due to instructor illness, emergency, severe weather, insufficient class enrollment, or otherwise, make-up class(es) will be offered or the class(es) may be rescheduled. If this is not possible, attendees will receive credit towards future classes, equivalent to the value of the canceled class(es).
Withdraw/Refund policy: We know that life happens. If you are unable to commit to a class series for any reason, please cancel in writing 7 days prior to the start of the class/class series to be eligible to receive a full refund (minus ticket processing fees and any applicable materials fees). Requests for withdrawal received up to 48 hours before the start of a class/class series will be eligible for a 75% refund (minus ticket processing fees and any applicable materials fees). Requests for withdrawal received within 48 hours after a class series start will be eligible for a 50% refund (minus ticket processing fees and any applicable materials fees). Please note that when tickets are purchased through one of our partner organizations (such as Revive Yoga Co.), we must default to their withdrawal and refund policies, which may vary from Playful Poppies Learning Co.’s policies.
Kids
-
Q: Can my child attend class by herself?
A: At this time, we are not able to offer classes without each child’s caregiver present. A caregiver 18 years of age or older must be present with each child for the entire duration of the class.
-
Q: What if my child has a medical condition or disability?
A: We are happy to offer accommodations to ensure that you and your child can comfortably participate in our classes. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or accommodation requests.
-
Q: What if I have twins (or two similarly aged kids)?
A: The more the merrier! If both children fulfill the age prerequisites for the class, they are welcome to attend class together. Because of the high level of caregiver-child interaction encouraged throughout our classes, we suggest taking along an additional caregiver to participate in activities with the second child, if available. Registration for a second child is offered at a discounted rate; contact us for details.
-
Q: Can my baby attend classes with my toddler?
A: If your baby falls into the same class age bracket as your toddler, she is more than welcome to participate in class along with you and your toddler! Consider bringing another caregiver to participate with her. For more details, please see the FAQ above, “What if I have twins (or two similarly aged kids)?”
If your baby is younger, she is welcome to attend, at no extra charge.
Adults
-
Q: Can other adults join us for class too?
A: Absolutely! Feel free to bring along any other grown-ups who love your kiddo.
-
Q: I’m a grandparent/nanny/babysitter of a little one. Can we attend class?
A: Absolutely! We love meeting all the adults who participate in the care of each child. Any of a child’s caregivers (mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, aunt, uncle, babysitter, nanny…) are welcome to attend class with your child. For the safety of everyone in class, our only requirement is that the caregiver must be 18 years of age or older.
